Chris Collins and Jesse Boulerice especially, played well last night in my opinion. I hope the rest of the team will show the desire like these two did last night. |
The Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins don't have to wait long to get back on the ice for a rematch. After dropping the first game 2-1 last night, the WBS Penguins will host Game 2 tonight at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.
Brad Thiessen will still be in net. The six defensemen from last night will probably all be playing tonight too. But will we see the same forward core? Much of this depends on whether or not Tim Wallace is ready to go. He skated in practice on Wednesday and Thursday and head coach John Hynes sounded optimistic about his return, but he didn't take the pregame warm up last night and missed the game. I would expect to see the same lineup from last night, with the only change being Wallace or Paul Thompson replacing David Marshall.
As for Norfolk, I'm sure they are going to want to do much of the same as well. They have been playing with seven defensemen and 11 forwards down the stretch and will most likely remain doing so tonight. You will also being seeing Dustin Tokarski back in net for Game 2.
So not much will change between the two teams in terms of lineups and approaches to tonight's game, but hopefully the effort and execution and desire will show up more for the Penguins tonight than showed last night. After tonight's game the series shifts to Norfolk for three straight games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The last two games of the series, if necessary will be played in Wilkes Barre on Saturday and Monday.
