Penguins Sign Forward Zach Sill to Two Year Deal

Great to have Zach Sill back for 2011-12.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that the team has signed Zach Sill to a two-year deal. The hardworking and hard hitting center was set to become a free agent this July. A great start for the WBS Penguins in building another great team for next season.

Sill really improved this past season, playing in all 80 regular season games for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins and tripling his offensive production from 11 points (5G, 6A) in 2009-10 to 30 points (11G, 19A) in 2010-11. Not only was he more effective offensively, he also improved his play in the defensive zone. Sill was a regular on the PK unit and was one of the better WBS Penguins in the faceoff circle.

I was pretty sure that Sill would be back and am glad he was re-signed. He's probably not ready for NHL action next year but with another good season in the AHL, he could make the jump in 2012-13.
