Down, but not out. Hershey enters tonight's Game Four trailing Lake Erie three games to none in the 2016 Calder Cup Finals. Photo: Amanda Statland
This weekend could potentially be the last weekend of hockey in the 2015-16 season.

On Thursday night, the Allen American (San Jose Sharks) defeated the Wheeling Nailers (Pittsburgh Penguins) in six games to claim the Kelly Cup as champions of the ECHL. In the same night, San Jose sent the Stanley Cup Finals back to California for Game Six on Sunday.

Tonight, the Calder Cup might be awarded to the Lake Erie Monsters if the Columbus Blue Jackets' affiliate can finish off a sweep of the Hershey Bears (Washington Captials). The Monsters host the Bears at the Quicken Loans Arena tonight at 7 p.m. ET.

If the Lake Erie Monsters win the Calder Cup, they will be the first Columbus Blue Jackets affiliate to ever win the AHL's championship. The Bears will need to do the unthinkable to claim their 12th Calder Cup championship, needing to win both tonight and tomorrow night in Cleveland just to send the series back to the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa.
