Patrick Killeen Sent Back to Wheeling, Curry Ready?

Monday, April 18, 2011
With Patrick Killeen sent back to Wheeling either John Curry is ready or Alexander Pechurskiy will be the backup goalie for Game 3.
Patrick Killeen was in attendance at Wheeling's practice this morning. This would suggest he won't be making the trip to Norfolk and that John Curry is ready to return to the lineup. Coach Hynes had described Curry's absence from this week as "maintenance days" prior to the start of the playoff series.

If Curry isn't healthy enough to back up Brad Thiessen, who by the way will be the goalie from here on out, then I guess that leaves Alexander Pechurskiy as the WBS backup for Tuesday night. Either way, Thiessen will be the starter in net and one of those two will be backing him up.

Should get an update tomorrow morning after the team's morning skate in Norfolk before Game 3 from The Scope. Look for updates on the blog's Twitter page for game day updates and check back for the game preview tomorrow morning.

Let's Do This!
