Penguins Remain Perfect On the Road

Gibbons is tied for second on the team in scoring with nine points (3G-6A) in his first nine pro games.
Sorry about the lack of coverage for last night's game. Everything seemed to go wrong. Technology was part of it, AHL Live had its usual miscues. I also caught one of those 24 hour viruses and went out like a light at about 8 p.m. EST. Thankfully, the Penguins had better luck than I did last night. Here's a quick recap for those who missed last night's game:
  • Brian Gibbons got the Penguins a 1-0 lead in the first period. He finished with a goal and two assists and continues to impress in the early going.
  • Geoff Walker left the game in the first period and did not return. I'll see what I can find out at practice this week and update his status for next weekend's games.
  • The Penguins scored two quick goals in the 2nd period, courtesy of Eric Tangradi and Nick Petersen.
  • Niko Dimitrakos would make it 4-0 in the 3rd period, and Thiessen would win his fourth straight start. Unfortunately his shutout was broken by Monarchs' Brandon Kozun.
  • Penguins win 4-1 and are now 5-0-0-0 on the road so far this season.
