Picard is on his way back to WBS. |
- First, news out of Pittsburgh this morning that the Penguins have re-assigned defenseman Alexandre Picard to Wilkes-Barre. This is good news considering the next bullet.
- Robert Bortuzzo was not on the ice today for practice. He blocked a shot late in the third period of Saturday's game in Manchester and didn't play Sunday in Worcester. It's safe to say he won't be in the lineup tomorrow and that Picard will likely take his place.
- Three forwards were wearing red no-contact jerseys today and those three are Geoff Walker, Brian Gibbons and Paul Thompson. All three played on Sunday, so hopefully its just bumps and bruises for those guys. They figure to be game time decisions as they at least practiced today.
The team is definitely banged up from this past weekend's road trip but will have to continue to press on with games on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Go Penguins!
