To be honest, the result of the game doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. Both teams had their positions locked up before they played each other last night. In essence, another preseason game this afternoon.
Brad Thiessen, Joey Mormina, Alexandre Picard, Ryan Craig, Jason Williams, Colin McDonald and Brian Gibbons sat out tonight. Some of the Black Aces got some game action in the last two games, which was nice to see.
Beat writer Jonathan Bombulie says practice for the playoffs starts Tuesday so expect the next update on the team then.
Forgot to mention this before, but I delayed the March Grades post to allow the regular season games in April to be included. I'll post that early in the week. I'll also have a breakdown of the Penguins and Bears leading up to their first round series which begins on Friday.
