Pens Lose 3-1, Still Clinch 4th Seed

Friday, April 13, 2012
Should see Scott Munroe tomorrow night. Some surprised he wasn't in tonight.
The Penguins drop a 3-1 decision to the Binghamton Senators tonight, but still wrap up the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference as the Hershey Bears also lost, 6-4 to the Portland Pirates. One more out of town score with relevance. I believe since the Connecticut Whale lost tonight as well that the Penguins and Bears are slated to play each other in round one at the 4 vs. 5 match up.

There were rumblings after the game that the Penguins announced the dates for Games 1 and 2 as next Friday (4/20) and Saturday (4/21). Official announcement should come tomorrow on the full five game series schedule but if I had to guess what it will end up being:
Friday, April 20th, in Wilkes-Barre
Saturday, April 21st, in Wilkes-Barre
Monday, April 23rd, in Hershey
*** Wednesday, April 25th, in Hershey
*** Friday, April 27th, in Wilkes-Barre
*** = if necessary
Penguins host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in tomorrow's home finale, then finish the regular season Sunday in Bridgeport with an afternoon contest.
