Not the End of Thiessen: One Year Deal

Saturday, June 30, 2012

In a surprise move to most, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced the re-signing of goaltender Brad Thiessen to a one-year, two-way deal that pays him $525,000 at the NHL level. Most thought when Tomas Vokoun was signed by the Pens that Thiessen would pursue free agency.

Great addition for the WBS Penguins as he will be the #3 goalie in the organization for the time being. A good start heading into the first day of free agency tomorrow. I will post a preview of what to expect later tonight. I will also be live-blogging tomorrow for up to the minute free agency signings that affect the Penguins and relevant teams.
