The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins home opener tonight against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers will have some more familiar faces on the opposing bench, like Ryan Craig last night in Springfield. Brandon DeFazio and Colin McDonald return to Wilkes-Barre as members of the Sound Tigers as the Pens try to avoid an 0-3 start.
For The Penguins
Zach Sill left last night's game after blocking a shot in the first period and never returned. Coach Hynes said Sill was going to be re-evaluated in Wilkes-Barre. He won't play tonight.
With Sill's upper body injury and Megna (lower body), Veilleux (knee) and MacIntyre not ready a recall from Wheeling was needed. The Pens called up Dominik Uher and Tom Kuhnhackl.
Dylan Reese didn't play last night. Maybe he makes his WBS debut tonight? Carl Sneep was the healthy scratch last night. Robert Bortuzzo isn't ready to play.
Expect Brad Thiessen to get the start in net after Jeff Zatkoff played last night. I would also except to still see 11 forwards and seven defensemen.
