Bye Bye Beau 2/14

The biggest news of the day in Wilkes-Barre is that Beau Bennett has been called up to Pittsburgh. Bennett was already in Pittsburgh yesterday for what WBS head coach John Hynes termed a "maintenance day". With the lack of production on Evgeni Malkin's wing, Bennett gets a shot to stick with the big club.

Missing from practice were forwards Paul Thompson, Phil Dupuis and Steve MacIntyre. Recently re-assigned defenseman Dylan Reese was not on the ice today for practice. Head coach John Hynes said Reese will be ready to go this weekend.

With only 12 healthy forwards on the ice, it appears as though Chris Collins will make his WBS season debut tomorrow night when the Norfolk Admirals come to town. Collins has said repeatedly he's glad to be back and looks forward to getting on the ice.
