Wednesday's WBS Practice Update

Wednesday, February 6, 2013
News of the day is that Beau Bennett practiced in full with the team today. After missing the last five games with an undisclosed injury, he appears ready to return to the lineup this weekend against Norfolk. Bennett practiced on a line with Warren Peters and Chad Kolarik today.

Mark Eaton also practiced today. Missing were injured forwards Tom Kuhnhackl, Paul Thompson and Phil Dupuis.

Scary moment for Bobby Farnham today at practice. Farnham took a puck to the back of the head while sliding in front of the net during a drilll. He got up after being hit in the neck with the puck in obvious discomfort and after being looked at on the bench, left the ice and headed to the locker room.

A look at today's lines shows a balanced scoring attack at the Pens' disposal:
Holzapfel - Smith - Megna
Kolarik - Peters - Bennett
Payerl - Sill - Kostopoulos
Uher - Gibbons - MacIntyre
Barton

Reese - Dumoulin
Mormina - Grant
Samuelsson - Morrow
Eaton - Wild

The Penguins practice tomorrow before getting on the bus for a 7 hour ride to Norfolk. I won't be at the practice session myself, but I will be traveling  to Norfolk, Virignia to bring exclusive live coverage of this weekend's games.

Stay tuned for all the latest on Twitter @H_P_Hockey as the miles continue to rack up. Should be about 7,500 miles when I return home after the weekend, and hopefully with four points.
