Day Two of Free Agency

Yesterday, the Penguins brought back defenseman Rob Scuderi, signing him to a four year deal that pays him $3.375 million annually. Read more about the Scuderi signing here. The move to add a defenseman at that cost almost surely means more changes to the blue line will occur as the Penguins now have eight NHL defensemen on the roster.

Pittsburgh also re-signed forward Craig Adams to a two-year deal that pays him $700,000 a season. This move bolsters the bottom six depth in the NHL.

As for the AHL depth, the Penguins added four forwards in what should be the start of a "rebuliding" in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) after seeing 10 of the team's free agents leave town. The four forwards they added could be read all about here.
