Thursday's #WBSPens Practice Update

Bobby Farnham looks to make his season debut at home tomorrow night.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins practiced at The Ice Rink at Coal Street this morning in preparations for their first three-game weekend of the season. Here's some notes from today's practice:
  • Goaltender Eric Hartzell didn't practice with the team again today as he continues to recover from an undisclosed injury.
  • Other roster players not on the ice today: Peter Merth, Dustin Stevenson and Harrison Ruopp.
  • I know it's only three games into the season, but is it possible that forward Paul Thompson has fallen out of favor with the coaching staff? Thompson played opening night against Bridgeport, but was a healthy scratch in both of the Pens' games this past weekend. Thompson has been at practice this week but hasn't seen regular time on a line at all. He filled in for team captain Tom Kostopoulos today on the right wing and was used as a penalty killer while the team was working on their power play today. I'm not saying Thompson is in the doghouse, but with Zolniercyk up with the NHL Penguins and only 14 healthy forwards with the AHL club, it's becoming more noticeable who coach John Hynes likes for his lineup this weekend.

Lines:

Kuhnhackl - Ebbett - Payerl
Megna - Gibbons - Conner
Uher - Drazenovic - Kostopoulos/Thompson
Leblond - Sill/Carman - Farnham

Despres - Samuelsson
Mikkelson - Harrington
Dumoulin - D'Agostino
McNeill

Deslauriers - Mannino
