With the win over Providence in Game Seven last night, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will take on the St. John's IceCaps in the third round of the 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs.

In the only playoff meeting between the two teams - back in the 2012 playoffs (a Conference Semifinal) - the Penguins fell behind three games to one in the best-of-seven series after a pair of overtime losses at home in Games Three and Four.

The Pens won in 2OT in Game Five to send the series back to Newfoundland and forced a Game Seven but came up short in a 3-2 decision. The IceCaps went on to get swept by that dominant Norfolk team (now in Syracuse) that won the 2012 Calder Cup Championship.

I'll have a full preview of the series tomorrow, but here's a quick overview of everything you need to know about the Penguins third round series.
