Tuesday's Practice Report 10/27

Tuesday, October 27, 2015
The Phantoms were on the ice at PPL Center in advance of tomorrow's game vs. St. John's.
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms are starting to get healthy. Well sort of. Today at practice, injured defenseman Robert Hagg and forward Danick Martel skated with the team in yellow no-contact jerseys.

I was unable to confirm with head coach Scott Gordon as he had a meeting directly after practice, but neither Hagg nor Martel were full participants thus all but certainly ruling them out for tomorrow's game against the St. John's IceCaps.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Martin Ouellette make his first start of the season tomorrow. Ouellette was taking in first team reps in practice and in net during the team's special teams drills while Anthony Stolarz was at the other end of the rink facing some shots from the injured Martel.

Injured forwards Cole Bardreau, Colin McDonald and Michael Parks did not skate with the team today and remain out at least another week or two.

Take a look at this week's Phantoms story in The Home News, which features newcomer Evan Rankin.

Lines at Tuesday's Practice:

Taylor Leier - Tim Brent - Aaron Palushaj

Danick Martel (inj)
