Flyers Training Camp Roster Reveals AHL Signing

Chris McCarthy's addition means more forward depth for Lehigh Valley

The Philadelphia Flyers announced their training camp roster this afternoon. Listed on the roster is another addition to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Forward Chris McCarthy, formerly of the Hartford Wolfpack, is listed on the Flyers' camp roster as being on an AHL contract and a 2016 Free Agent acquisition.

The Collegeville, Pa native turned 25 this summer after his first full season in the AHL saw him tally 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) in 54 games with the Wolfpack in 2015-16.

Following four years at the University of Vermont, the undrafted forward broke into pro hockey with the Wolfpack organization - spending parts of the last three seasons between AHL Hartford and ECHL Greenville.

What this potential signing means for Lehigh Valley is even more forward competition for the Phantoms' AHL training camp beginning October 1st.

In addition to McCarthy here are the rest of the possible Phantoms roster candidates for this upcoming season:

Mark Alt, T.J. Brennan, Robert Hagg, Max Lamarche (AHL - 1 year), Sam Morin, Will O'Neill, Jesper Pettersson, Travis Sanheim and Reece Willcox
Goaltenders
Mark Dekanich (AHL), Alex Lyon, Martin Ouellette (AHL - 1 year) and Anthony Stolarz
