The Lehigh Valley Phantoms kick off their third year as an American Hockey League (AHL) franchise this weekend with preseason contests against the Charlotte Checkers, starting tonight at 7:05 p.m. inside the PPL Center in downtown Allentown, Pa.
Here's a look at who is currently on the Phantoms' roster:
Goaltenders: Alex Lyon, Martin Ouellette and Anthony Stolarz
Defensemen: T.J. Brennan, Robert Hagg, Max Lamarche, Sam Morin, Daniel New*, Will O'Neill, Jesper Pettersson, Travis Sanheim and Reece Willcox
Forwards: Nicolas Aube-Kubel, Cole Bardreau (abdominal surgery), Greg Carey, Chris Conner, Justin Crandall* Radel Fazleev, Tyrell Goulbourne, Corban Knight (AHL contract), Taylor Leier, Danick Martel, Derek Mathers (AHL), Chris McCarthy, Andy Miele, Petr Straka, Kevin Sundher (AHL contract), Steven Swavely (AHL contract) and Mark Zengerle (AHL contract)

With only two preseason games on their schedule this year, head coach Scott Gordon indicated heading into this week's practice that a few guys might get an extra look if warranted, but to expect a strong lineup with almost all of the expected players for this year's squad already reassigned to the Phantoms.
REMINDER: The Phantoms host the Charlotte Checkers tonight at 7:05 p.m.
