The Lehigh Valley Phantoms left for Providence Thursday afternoon in advance of Friday night's game against the Bruins. While its uncertain if injured forwards Andy Miele and Jordan Weal made the trip, the bus likely left without forward Tyrell Goulbourne who was reassigned to the ECHL's Reading Royals today per American Hockey League transactions.

Goulbourne sat out as the Phantoms' 13th forward and healthy scratch in the team's previous six games, last appearing in Lehigh Valley's school day win in Hartford on November 2nd. On the season, Goulbourne is pointless in six games with nine penalty minutes and an even plus/minus rating.

The timing of Goulbourne's reassignment is interesting in that Scott Gordon all but ruled out Andy Miele and Robert Hagg for this weekend's games and Jordan Weal did not finish Wednesday night's 4-1 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Either Weal is ready to resume playing this weekend, Miele is returning to action this weekend or another corresponding move from Philadelphia or Reading will see the Phantoms add a body for this weekend's road trip in the Northeast.

With Goulbourne's demotion to Reading, the Phantoms roster currently has 13 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders including the injured Hagg and Miele and the uncertainty of Weal's status moving forward.
