Phantoms kickoff three-game weekend in Hartford

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms (21-8-2) look to begin the 2017 calendar year on the right foot, kicking off a three-game weekend in downtown Hartford, CT Friday night at the XL Center against Atlantic Division counterpart Hartford WolfPack (11-18-4).

Season Series

This is the fifth of eight meetings between the Phantoms and Wolf Pack this season. The Phantoms lead the season series 2-1-1. Hartford defeated Lehigh Valley in overtime in their first meeting at the PPL Center on October 22nd, but the Phantoms have dominated the season series since then with back to back wins in Hartford four weeks ago before the WolfPack came into PPL Center and won the last meeting back in late November.

Lehigh Valley Phantoms

Roster Notes 

Anthony Stolarz is expected to get the start in net in his return to the Phantoms. Alex Lyon has played in just about all of the team's games while Stolarz was up with Philadelphia. 

Taylor Leier was reassigned from Philadelphia earlier this week, joining the Phantoms in Whitehall at practice on Tuesday. 

Head coach Scott Gordon said Mark Alt will make his regular season debut tonight in Hartford. Alt was placed on waivers yesterday and it's assumed he has cleared waivers and will be activated onto the Phantoms' roster officially in time for tonight's game. Alt has been skating with the Phantoms for over a month to get back into game shape.

Martin Ouellette was reassigned to Reading this week as well as defenseman Max Lamarche and forward Steven Swavely.
