Lineup Notes
Pittsburgh announced this morning that they've re-assigned forwards Jayson Megna, Brian Gibbons and Harry Zolnierczyk to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, presumably for at least the next eight games while the NHL Penguins are on a break for the Olympics in Sochi.
The Penguins lost to the Rangers in a shootout last night at Madison Square Garden, so it's not out of the question that all three be in the lineup tonight. Zolnierczyk needed to clear waivers by noon today in order to be re-assigned and he did.
In addition to that, the WBS Penguins announced they've loaned forward Denver Manderson, who was a healthy scratch last night, and re-assigned defenseman Barry Goers to the Wheeling Nailers. Goers was also released from his professional tryout contract (PTO).
Injured list: Brian Dumoulin (lower body), Zach Sill (upper body), Adam Payerl (upper body), Spencer Machacek (undisclosed)
Healthy scratches: Brian Gibbons, Jayson Megna and Harrison Ruopp
